A Letter from the Executive DirectorAmerican Discovery, Vol 2. Issue 2

Dear Friends,

We are now six months into the construction phase of the Faith and Liberty Discovery Center with a projected opening in late 2020. The project is moving ahead with site preparations, exhibit fabrication, software development, content and media development, audio/visual controls, ticketing and operational systems, furniture, fixtures, equipment and much more!

It’s exciting to see the great progress being made on the development of a number of media experiences being prepared for future visitors including our Lamp Experience, Welcome Gallery, Freedom of Faith Gallery, Artifact Animations, Roots of Faith and Liberty Gallery, First Amendment, Spirit of Liberty Gallery, Changemaker Beacons, Takeover Moments, Justice Gallery, Conversation Booths, Hope Gallery, Unity Gallery, Liberty’s Light 3D Immersive Theater and Takeaway Tables. We are truly creating a “museum of the future” in the birthplace of America for this and future generations!

Our fundraising efforts have now mobilized $52 million toward our $60 million Faith and Liberty Discovery Center (FLDC) capital campaign goal, with vision casting events being held in Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Raleigh, Washington DC, Charlotte and other cities across the country. For those of you who may be interested in partnering with us financially, contact us here to request more information about naming opportunities, limited edition charter memberships and other ways you, your family, your foundation and/or your business can join us in this historic and legacy effort for our nation.

Finally, we want everyone to be able to engage with and benefit from the content being developed inside of the FLDC, so we are also investing in a platform to help extend its reach beyond the physical center to connect with people across our nation and around the world through our website, through lectures and editorials by our team of 30+ scholars, and through a variety of other creative efforts including a teacher training institute, seminars, briefings, a Faith and Liberty Trail Mobile App and even a musical on the life of William Penn, which we recently commissioned by a Broadway playwright.

We hope that you will enjoy this update. Thank you for your interest and support, and thank you for helping us to spread the word about the Faith and Liberty Discovery Center with others!

Pat Murdock

Executive Director
